Shapes
Type 1
An all around edge grinding wheel design; but not used for cutting.
Type 27
Grinding wheels with depressed centers used for grinding on flat surfaces and edge cleaning.
Type 28
This design offers great area coverage and improved user visibility for de-burring and other edge preparation work.
Type 11
Abrasive cup wheels offer even more area coverage than saucer shaped wheels. These are best for cleaning material on large flat areas, also great for heavy welds.
How to Pick the Right Grain Type
Aluminum Oxide
This general purpose bond offers excellent stock removal. Recommended for use on regular steel, structural steel, metal and welds.
Masonry
Silicon carbide grain for grinding masonry, concrete, stone, and non-ferrous metals.
Zirconia For Stainless Steel
High performance grinding excellent on ferrous metals, castings and stainless steel.
