1 PK | Flap Disc – Type 27 – Aluminum Oxide – 4.5″ x 7/8″ – 36 Grit

Flap discs use diagonal layers of sandpaper on resin fiber backing. Flaps are glued onto multi-layer fiberglass, plastic or aluminum backing plates. As the flaps wear down, new grit is continuously being exposed for consistent performance throughout the life of the disc. Flap discs are designed to run cooler, thereby reducing warping of thin metals such as body panels. Unlike ordinary grinding wheels, these discs won’t gouge your work.

ALUMINUM OXIDE FLAP DISCS

• The original metalworking abrasive grain, this product is recommended for many jobs where a consistent, low cost product is needed. It is designed to be used on steels and non-ferrous metals. Not designed for use on Stainless Steel. It will not perform or last as long as a Zirconia grain wheel.

TYPE 27 FLAT DISCS

• Used primarily on flat surfaces

• The best choice for blending and smooth finishing
